Shastrang (Founded by Grand Master Bikram) is a dynamic, Shastrang is the culmination of Grandmaster Bikram' more than tharty years of martial arts experience and has resulted in the most effective martial art system for self defense in today’s modern society.

Shastrang provides a safe and healthy environment for students that help them to grow physically as well as mentally. SHASTRANG movements are based on modern scientific principles including Kinesiology, psychology and biomechanics. SHASTRANG movements are non jerky or joint-locking. To reduce body stress and injury, SHASTRANG uses natural bilateral movements and fluid motions to generate optimum force while placing less pressure on the joints. By creating oxygen debt through high intensity workouts, the lung and heart's reserve capacity increases. In addition, SHASTRANG incorporates breathing and Yoga stretching exercises. SHASTRANG's Natural, easy to learn, sequential movements maximize your body's force producing capabilities but more prominently they increase opportunities to enhance they are  overall health.

SHASTRANG is holistic and integrated martial art system to promote optimum physical health and fitness as well as emotional well-being.  There are many non-athletes and professional athletes that focus on exercising their bodies, but SHASTRANG offers much more.
